A memorial service celebrating Eddie’s life was held Saturday Feb. 7 at Renner Lutheran Church in Renner. A private graveside service will be held at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Vernon Edward “Cork” Serck, 90, of Inwood, Iowa, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at Fellowship Village in Inwood. Visitation with the family present will take place at Porter Funeral Home, 102 S. Main Street in Inwood, at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, followed by the service at 2 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Alvord, Iowa, immediately following the service.
