Arlyn Gene Surdez, of Brandon, passed away at Palisades Healthcare Center in Garretson, S.D., on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 92 years and 76 days.
The youngest of four siblings, Arlyn was born on Feb. 5, 1934, to Ina (Selby) Surdez and Albert Surdez on the family farm near Lennox, S.D. He attended country school before graduating from Lennox High School.

Tony Melillo, 60, of Sioux Falls, died Monday, April 20, 2026, the same day in 1966 in which he was born in Orange County, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Tuttle-Melillo; sons, Shelby (Anna) Melillo and Devon (Lauren) Melillo; daughter, Jayden (Garrett) Melillo; sister Robin (Jim) Hartle; brothers, Rick and Marty; mother-in-law Dianna Tuttle; brothers-in-law ,Marty and Joey; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces; and two grandchildren, Griffin and Archer.
