Class A runner-up Brandon Valley had four players named to the South Dakota High School Fastpitch All-State Team, tying with the state champion O’Gorman Knights for the most athletes from one school.
They say practice makes perfect, but three straight seasons of practice as Class AA state champion runner-up couldn’t help the Lady Lynx softball team take the state title from Sioux Falls O’Gorman Saturday.
The Lady Lynx softball team built a five-run lead in the fifth inning to fend off the Watertown Arrows and bring home an 8-7 victory at Aspen Park Sept. 14.
