Daniel Coulter, 82, of Brandon, S.D., passed away Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon. In lieu of flowers memorials, may be directed to the Risen Savior Prayer Garden.  Daniel George Coulter was born July 26, 1936, in Brookings, S.D., to George and Elsie (Friedel) Coulter. He grew up and received his education in Brookings. Dan enlisted and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He and Barbara Steinhoff eloped on Jan. 10, 1959. Theirs was an enduring love story that continued for nearly 60 years. They were blessed with two daughters, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They have resided in Brandon for the past 46 years.
