Van Hemert, Thompson named All-State

Two players from the Lynx boys’ and girls’ soccer teams were selected to the 2017 South Dakota High School Athletic Association All-State teams.
Senior defender Micah Van Hemert and junior defender Morgan Thompson will represent Brandon Valley on the AA All-State teams.
The AA All-State girls’ teams also include Sophia Connelly and Jillian Barkus, O’Gorman; Molly Faris, Lincoln; Hattie Giblin, Roosevelt; and Megan Etreim, Washington.
Joining Van Hemert on the boys’ teams are Ethan Glissendorf and Patryk Stys, O’Gorman; Liam Downey and David Bizimana, Lincoln; Brady Cork and Andres Vazquez, Roosevelt; and Alex Stonewall, Washington.
