Ronald L. Hendrix, 84, of Sherman, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.

A come and go visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Garretson. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Garretson.

He is survived by his daughters, Deb Hendrix of Dell Rapids, Kim Banghart of Sioux Falls, with grandchild Kelly (Brook) and great-grandchildren, Holden and Dade, all of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Kristina Callies with great-grandchild, Wyatt of Sioux Falls, Ashley Brown and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Raylen of Brandon; step-son, Jason (Jill) Ellefson with grandchildren, Lane, Blair, and Drew of Sherman; sisters, Barbara Bauer of Sioux Falls, Nancy (Kevin) Miller of Jamestown, N.D., and Trude (Bob) Hendrickson of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Ellefson of Ankeny, Iowa, Judy Ellis of Sherman, Richard (Rosalie) Ellefson of LeMars, Iowa, Raymond (Tami) Ellefson of Sioux Falls, Royal (Darcy) Ellefson of Garretson, Ryan (Donna) Ellefson of Watertown, and Ronnie Ellefson of Sioux Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
