Marlis Jones, 89

Marlis Marie Jones, 89, of Pipestone, Minn., died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Good Samaritan Village in Pipestone.

Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2026, at Peace United Methodist Church, Pipestone. Visitation is from 9:30-11 a.m., also on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the New Woodlawn Cemetery, Pipestone.

She is survived by her children, Pamela (Terry) Polfliet of Mondovi, Wis., Alan (Kelly) Jones and David (Michele), all of Pipestone; six grandchildren, Kristin, Kim, Tyler, Jacob, Lauren and Matt; 12 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jay, Isaiah, Kash, Walter, Jayden, Stetson, Lincoln, Chance, Josey, Hatty, and Wiley; and siblings, Donald Backer of Pipestone, Jerry Backer of Brandon, and Bob (Jeanne) Backer of Pipestone.
