Phillip Bechtold, 90

Phillip Joseph Bechtold, 90, of Sioux Falls, died Monday, July 6, 2026, at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls. His cemetery service was held Friday, July 10, 2026, at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Sioux Falls, SD. A Celebration of Life followed at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance, Sioux Falls.                     

He is survived by his wife of 41-plus years, Jo Anne Bechtold; his children, Theresa Bechtold, Phillip “Joe” (Amanda) Bechtold, and Tonya Bechtold, all of Sioux Falls, Wendy (Todd) Ramse of Brandon, and Michelle (Dan) Schutte of Watertown; 10 grandchildren, Kelisha and Kain Bechtold, Jessica (Jake) Greenhagen, Kaitlin (Seth) Erwin, Erica (Craig) Pierson-Way, Garrett and Grant Halverson, and Derek and Jake Schutte; and seven great-grandchildren, MaKenna Jo, Elijah, and Noah Erwin, Deven and Jahzara Green, Faeryn Pierson-Way, and Jackson Greenhagen; “The Sibs”: Carolyn Hagerman, Mary Jo Christensen (Jim), Steven Bechtold (Nancy), Paul Bechtold, and Annie Bechtold (Jon Stalheim), all of Sioux Falls, Tony Bechtold (Mary Jo) of Escondido, Calif., and Sara Jane Hughes (Doug) of Salem, Ore.
