Danell Mortimer, 57, of Sioux Falls, died Monday, March 9, 2026, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Mortimer of Sioux Falls; daughter, Amanda Mortimer of Edgerton, Minn.; son, Matthew Mortimer of Luverne, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; boyfriend, Michael Volk of Sioux Falls; best friend, Tammy Christensen of Sioux Falls; brother, Mark Christensen of Sioux Falls; step-mother, Kim Christensen of Brandon; and several nieces and nephews.
