1. Approve ELO, CPA’s & Advisors to perform the Brandon Valley School District 2023-24 certified audit at a cost of $25,000, as presented.
2. Approve Memorandum of Understanding by and between the Brandon Valley School District #49-2 and Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership (ICAP) Head Start Pre-Birth to Five Program, effective for the 2024-25 school year, as presented.
3. Approve Administrative Recommendation to cast a vote for Kelly Daughters – Faith School District, for the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) West River At-Large Representative, effective July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2029.
4. Approve Administrative Recommendation to cast a vote for Chuck Wilson – Todd County High School, for the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) Native American At-Large Representative, effective July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2029.
5. Approve Administrative Recommendation to cast a YES vote for South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) Amendment Number One, as presented.
6. Request authorization to apply for a South Dakota Department of Education (CTE) Innovative Equipment Grant, as presented.
7. Request authorization to apply for the South Dakota Department of Education (multi-year) 1003 Competitive Grant (School Improvement), as presented.

4. Approve recommendation to hire Chelsie Geiszler, Speech Language Pathologist-Assistant, location TBD, full-time $28.00/hour, effective August 21, 2024.
5. Accept recommendation to hire Samantha Simmons, Special Education Ed Assistant, location TBD, full-time, $18.30/hour, effective August 21, 2024.

15. Approve termination of employment of Stacie White, BVHS full-time Child Nutrition Worker, effective May 23, 2024.
16. Approve resignation of Jonathan Schouten, BVMS 7th Grade Math Teacher and 9th Grade Boys Basketball Coach, effective May 22, 2024, to include liquidated damages of $300.00.
17. Approve recommendation to hire Tara Sheridan, BVMS 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher, BA Step 10 ~ $56,808.00, effective for the 2024-25 school year.

Board Reports were presented. Board Member Ellie Saxer reported the following: Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD) Executive Director Dr. Douglas Wermedal has resigned. The Annual Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD) convention will be held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center August 8-9, 2024. For registration information, please contact Jennifer Swenson in the BVSD Central Office.
Saxer also reminded all that Local/City/State Elections are coming up. She urged all to make your vote be known and think about those candidates that are in support of public education.
The Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD) Awards will be held at the upcoming annual convention. Nominations are now open and nominating forms are available on the ASBSD website. Contact Ms. Saxer for more information on how to get nominations submitted.
Board Member Nick Scott thanked all who contributed to and attended the Valley Springs Elementary School Farewell Celebration on May 18, 2024. A lot of memories were shared, and it was a great celebration!
