The following initiated measure was proposed by petition for submission to the voters. This initiated measure will not become effective unless approved by majority vote.
Title: Brandon Ordinance 7-1-1(A)-Regulation of Fireworks
City Attorney Explanation: The City’s current regulation of fireworks bans discharge except for sparklers, snakes and smoke balls. The proposed change would allow the public to discharge within the city limits of Brandon on July 3rd and July 4th from 10 am - 11pm any 1.4G fireworks purchased from a South Dakota licensed firework retail store. 1.4G fireworks are consumer explosive fireworks intended for use by the general public, including single and multiple shot aerials, rockets, roman candles, and fountains.

□ No A vote “No” will leave the city ordinance as it is (ban the discharge of fireworks).
