Shea guides Lady Lynx to victory on lanes

Across the lanes Friday at Empire Bowl, the Lynx were the clear winners in their final regular match of the season. Brandon Valley swept McCook Central-Montrose in varsity girls and boys, and junior varsity girls’ action. MCM did not field a junior varsity boys’ team.

The Lynx boys charged to a 43-7 team win behind the firepower of Aiden Jasper and Keegan Wingate, who produced respective high series of 615 and 401. Seth Waldner tossed in a game-high 150.

For the girls, Alexis Shea rolled a 269 to guide the Lady Lynx to a 29-21 victory. Her score was aided by identical high series by both Brooklyn Martin and Paige Martin.

The JV girls also nabbed a win on Friday, defeating MCM 38.5-11.5.

The varsity Lynx keglers will compete for their respective state titles Friday at Eastway Bowl in Sioux Falls. Bowling gets underway at 9 a.m.
