Brandon city officials, volunteer firefighters and city park board members planted three Ginko trees to replace three Ash trees along the boulevard of the fire station last week. The tree planting is Brandon’s salute Arbor Day, which is typically recognized in April. Devin Coughlin, director of parks, said the trees will grow 50 to 60 feet fall and are disease and bug resistant. Brandon was designated a Tree City U.S.A. in 2008. Jill Meier/BV Journal*/
