The landscape changed along Splitrock Boulevard last week after 13 ash trees were removed by Sioux Valley Energy workers. Ty Hentschel, operations manager for the Brandon Valley School District, said the trees were in need of trimming and District officials made the call to have the ash trees removed as a proactive measure against the Emerald Ash Borer infestation.
