Airman Makenzie Smith graduated from Air Force Basic Training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, on Aug. 23. Sister-in-law, Logan Smith, and mother, Shawn Smith, traveled to San Antonio to celebrate the occasion. Makenzie will continue with weapons training at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. She is a 2018 BVHS graduate and is the daughter of Shawn and the late David Smith. Makenzie’s brothers, Braiden Smith and Connor Smith, are currently on deployment with the 114th Fighter Wing.
