The old Brandon Co-operative Creamery Company building was razed last week at the corner of Holly and Sioux boulevards. Incorporated in 1987, the building was erected at a cost of $2,800. C. Dillon was elected President; A.O. Risty, vice president; A.P. Ode, treasurer; and John T. Lee, director. Sources say the creamery closed around 1910, was purchased by Adolf Jacobson and moved. In 1970, Mathilda Jacobson sold the house to the Al Shoemacher family, who lived in the remodeled structure at the corner of Holly and Sioux boulevards. Information provided in the Brandon Area History book was reprinted from The Brandon Centennial (1978). Jamie Hult/BV Journal*/
