Doman American Legion Auxiliary Unit #131 from Valley Springs presented a puppet show about the Pledge of Allegiance to the kindergarten class at Valley Springs Elementary. This is the newest style of presentation that the Valley Springs Auxiliary is using to teach elementary students about various patriotic topics. */The Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed crew served up 90 pounds of fish Oct. 5 at the Brandon VFW. The event was staged to raise funds for Red Cross Disaster Relief to help victims of recent hurricanes and wildfires. More than 150 people came to support the effort, donating just over $2,000 to the cause. In addition to the Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed Committee, the event gained sponsorship from the Brandon VFW Post 4726, Harry Buck Team at Hegg Realty and the Brandon Valley Journal.
