A crowd just shy of 300 turned out for the fourth annual South Dakota Wildlife Expo Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Brandon. The event, which benefits the Warriors Never Give Up program, featured racks of deer antlers, silent and live auctions. “We try to keep it as patriotic as we can, because it’s all about our warriors and veterans,” said Dan Ridgway, co-chair of the event. Poppy ornament profits support 114th Fighter Wing families On Jan. 17, two members of the Charles R. Doman American Legion Auxiliary in Valley Springs presented a check from the fundraiser they did for the Air National Guard stationed in Sioux Falls. During the holiday season, Auxiliary members made poppy ornaments and sold them with all of the profits going to the 114th Fighter Wing to be used for the deployed and their families. That same day, unit president Gloria Bonjour and public relations chair Noelle Bonjour (pictured, left) presented a check to Brittni Bunkers, treasurer.
