The Brandon Valley Journal was up early with Jerry Merkouris (above left), tagging along with him to Washington, D.C. on a Midwest Honor Flight. He’s pictured front of a panel of the Vietnam War Memorial. Mikah Peters (above right) took the Journal to the Arcadia Invitational in California in early April, where the 2026 Brandon Valley grad won the 3,200-meter race in 8:48.66.
