NOTICE OF INITIATIVE PETITION ELECTION

MUNICIPALITY OF BRANDON

Notice is provided that on June 16, 2020 Election Day, Initiative Petition - 7-1-1 Regulation of Fireworks will be submitted to the voters for their approval of rejection to change Brandon Ordinance 7-1-1(A) that currently bans fireworks (except sparklers, snakes and smoke balls) to instead allow the public discharge of fireworks “within the city limits of Brandon on July 3rd and July 4th from 10am - 11pm. Permitted fireworks are specific class 1.4G fireworks which include any and all fireworks that are purchased from a licensed South Dakota Fireworks retail store.”
