Arden Sorenson, 93

Arden O. Sorenson, 93, of Garretson/Jasper, Minn., passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, at the Sioux Falls VA Hospice Cottage. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Garretson. Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mary Ellen Sorenson; daughters, Susan (Rick) Petersen, Brandon; Andrea (Steve) Oye, Luverne, Minn.; Mary Jo (Doug) Flier, Valley Springs; and son, Matthew (Lori) Sorenson, Garretson; grandchildren, Karissa (Justin), Nicholas, Brianne, Jakob, Ryan, Mitchell, Alexx and Jonathan; and three great-grandchildren Colton, Oakley and Bowen; sister, Margie Martens; sisters-in-law, LaVonne Liester and Jean (Bob) Wick.
