Correction

In the Brandon Valley Journal’s Dec. 21 report on District 2 legislators thoughts on Governor  Noem’s budget address, Representative-elect Dave Kull said he needs more information on the elimination of sales tax on groceries during the legislative process before firming his position.

“The high side for me is that this is not proposed to impact the municipal sales tax on groceries as the proposal is only targeting the 4.5 percent state tax. Removing the up to 2 percent of municipal tax would have a detrimental impact on cities and towns across the state and their ability to deliver needed servicces to their communities. 

The Journal regrets the error.
