SPECIAL SESSION
APRIL 20 2021
The Commissioners of the City of Valley Springs met in special session on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 6:00 PM in the Valley Springs City Hall to canvass the vote of the April 13th Municipal Election. Mayor Carl Moss presided. Answering roll call were Commissioners Brian Staeffler, Dean Helgeson, and Lynn Schmidt. Also present was Finance Officer Linda Hunnel. As a candidate, Commissioner Lance Bauske was not able to sit on the counting board.
After counting the ballots of the April 13th Municipal Election for Commissioner, 5 year term, Schmidt made a motion to declare Sandy Severtson the winner with 58 votes. Lance Bauske had 47 votes. Helgeson seconded the motion. Motion carried, all voting aye.
There being no further business before the commission, Staeffler voted to adjourn at 6:15 PM. Second by Schmidt. Motion carried, all voting aye.
The next regular meeting of the Valley Springs City Commission will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2020 in the VS American Legion, 615 Broadway.
